From 2.5 hours to 30 minutes per laptop: modernising workplaces with AI PCs and Intune
The IT department struggled with slow laptops, manual installations and messy cabling.
Together with TechOutlet.eu, the organisation rolled out new HP ProBook 4 G1i laptops (14" and 16")
with USB-C docks and 24" monitors, managed via Microsoft Intune. Thanks to zero-touch
provisioning, employees are up and running within approximately 30 minutes (previously up to 2.5 hours).
Hybrid work proceeds without friction, support tickets decrease, and on-device AI with the built-in
NPU accelerates daily tasks such as note-taking and translation.
About the organisation
The organisation supports homeowners in the Netherlands with advice, advocacy and
services. The team works hybrid: in the office, at home and on the road. This places high
demands on performance, security and management.
Challenge
Manual installation per device took up to 2.5 hours per employee.
Inconsistencies in apps and policies increased the number of support tickets.
Cables and connections differed per workplace, leading to irritation and errors.

Cable management as a mini-case
Per desk, a USB-C dock, cable tray under the surface, short cabling and
labelling per port were used. Result: cleaner desks, fewer interruptions and faster
moves/reconfigurations of workstations.
